OUR STORY
Founded in 2001, the park was made possible through a powerful partnership between community leaders, the JELD-WEN Foundation, and generous local donors. With $2 million raised and inspired guidance from the Klamath County Commissioners, construction broke ground on what would become a lasting hub for play, fitness, and family life.
Today, the park continues to embody that original spirit of community, collaboration, and purpose. From baseball and soccer to pickleball, skateboarding, and beyond, Steen Sports Park is a place where memories are made, skills are sharpened, and the next generation is inspired.

Steen Sports Park began as a dream in 1985, when longtime coach, teacher, and community mentor Dave Steen looked out over an undeveloped plot of land and imagined something more—a safe, welcoming place where families could gather, kids could play and train, and the community could grow stronger through shared experiences.
